Who we are
Welcome, as Senior Pastors of Avondale Christian Centre, our heart is for every person to feel accepted and loved at our church. Allow us to give you a better view of who we are...
Our Vision
is to be a church which glorifies God in everything we do and we are. We exist to love God and Love People. Reach the world with Gods Love here and Beyond. We seek to be a church that is: Multi-cultural, Contemporary, Pentecostal, Evangelical, Caring and Growing
Our Values
What is important to us? God and his word are number one in all we do. That means we value: His presence, His power, His passion, His call and His principles. People are important to us. We treat them with love, acceptance, forgiveness, respect and encouragement. Everyone has an important contribution to make and should be encouraged to reach their potential. We work as a team, we aim to do our best with the resources available to us and we seek to do programs which glorify Him.
Our Mission
Is to...
- REACH … up to God and out to others – Outreach, Evangelism, Missions
- BUILD … people into the church family and build up lives and families. Discipleship, care,
- TRAIN … people for effective leadership and ministry both inside and outside the local church
- RELEASE … individuals and teams into effective service. To fulfil what God has called them to.
Becoming a Christian
is entering into a relationship with your creator. It's not joining a religion or a club. God loved us so much that he sent his Son Jesus to show us the way back to God. Every person on the face of the earth has sinned at one time or another, no-one is perfect. (Romans3 v23) No person tainted with sin can enter heaven because God is holy. Jesus took the punishment for sin in our place. Through faith in Jesus we can come to God. He took the judgment for sin upon himself (death) so that we can have a relationship with a Holy God. To become a Christian we make a decision to accept that Jesus Christ is Lord and through him and him alone we have acceptance with God. It is making a new start, living to honour God and his word the Bible. It is asking for forgiveness for past sins and choosing to no longer live with deliberate sin in our lives. If this is your sincere desire a prayer as simple as this can begin your Christian life.
"Lord Jesus, please forgive me for the past-I'm sorry. I want to live to honour you from now on. You are my Lord. I place you first in my heart and ask that you help me to love you and love others as you command"
