​Last Sunday 25 September we were honoured to have Pastor Avi as our guest speaker, who has been a missionary in the Middle East. He preached about faith being the currency of the Kingdom of Heaven in his sermon toAvondale Christian Centre. Praise God for the sharing of His word and for blessing us with his faithful servant. The congregation also prayed in spirit for our Mission Team in India.

The Avondale Christian Centre celebrated Fathers Day first with a breakfast for the fathers at Denny's New Lynn on Saturday 3rd September, then as a congregation on Sunday 4th September. Our Sunday service acknowledged the role of our earthly fathers in providing leadership and guidance for their families. The congregation prayed together for God's protection, grace and blessings of wisdom and abundance. We remembered the fathers who have passed into Glory. We acknowledged also our Heavenly Father and the father of our congregation, Pastor Bereel who are the pillars and role models our fathers look up to for spiritual direction. The fathers were invited to the front during Praise and Worship, for prayer and to receive gifts from the women and children of ACC. A highlight of the Sunday's service was the powerful testimonies shared by the children. Pastor's uplifting sermon and video presentation also reaffirmed the special relationship a father has with their children which is special and God given. All praise and glory to God for the work he is doing in the lives of our Fathers. Praise the Lord!
