Avondale Christian Centre celebrated Christmas with the congregration and their friends and families on Saturday, 17 December. Jesus Christ who is the reason for the season. Pastor Bereel has preached this message, of the true Christian meaning of Christmas versus the secular world's view of what Christmas represents and obsession with materialism, in our recent Sunday services. Our children's church put on a performance to show their understanding of the birth of Jesus and the message of love, reconciliation and peace He brought to the world. There were also performances by the various home groups before dinner was served by the ACC Leaders. Many thanks for all the helping hands for this awesome day which we uplift to the Lord for His glory.
Our Sunday Service on 18 December also saw us farewell Bryan who is heading to Montana, USA for his DTS Bible School training from January - May 2017. We pray for his protection and for God's will to be done in his life. Bryan's presence and musical talent in our Praise & Worship team will be missed. We also bid farewell to another member Tu Ioane who is returning to live in Samoa. He has been a great help to the church in all our church activities and assisting with the sound desk and other technical responsibilities. We pray that God will reveal the plan for his life. On behalf of ACC, we wish everyone a blessed Christmas and safe passage into the New Year. God bless.
